The holidays are here, but for some people, they don’t add much cheer as they trudge off to work at a job that doesn’t fulfill them in an industry that is grinding them down. If you’re an adult in the U.S., the likelihood that you have at least one chronic disease is pretty high. The National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (part of the CDC) reports that 6 in 10 adults in the U.S. have one chronic disease, and 4 in 10 have two or more. In fact, chronic disease is the leading cause of death and disability in the U.S. as well at being at the top of the list related to health care costs. 

Life can get pretty hectic, so if you’re an adult who is experiencing any combination of working, raising a family, learning through a self-paced online course, and/or trying to keep your head above water, then your life is about as hectic as it gets. When the stress is piling up, you’ll want to take a look at how to manage your expectations and your schedule before you decide to forget everything and disappear to a deserted island somewhere.
