Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society
The Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society recognizes exceptional academic achievement at colleges, universities, and post-secondary institutes throughout the United States. Alpha Beta Kappa is the mark of distinction for an institution to be awarded a Chapter of Alpha Beta Kappa. Individuals elected to membership in this honor fraternity set themselves apart as an exemplar of integrity and excellence.
Recognition Certificate and Honors
Honor graduates elected to ABK membership will receive a personalized membership certificate and gold key. This certificate includes the candidate’s name, institution, chapter affiliation, and graduation date. Each certificate includes the Alpha Beta Kappa Gold Seal of Distinction and Official Crest, as seen above.
Each honor student also receives a special congratulatory letter from Alpha Beta Kappa, a narrative that describes the society, and upon request a letter of reference to use when seeking employment or other opportunities.
Selection Process and Criteria
To qualify for Alpha Beta Kappa membership, students must earn at least ten semester credits and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in addition to excellence in classroom, shop, studio, and laboratory work; leadership and service in class and school activities; and personal integrity and good moral character.

VII. ABK Gold Key - Members receive the distinctive Alpha Beta Kappa Gold Key. Each honor student also receives a special congratulatory letter from Alpha Beta Kappa and a narrative about the society.
