Course Description

PLAW-202: Contract Law provides an in-depth study of the legal rules that govern contracts, emphasizing both theory and practical application. Using The Law of Contracts and the Uniform Commercial Code by Pamela R. Tepper, this course explores the essential elements of a valid contract, including offer and acceptance, consideration, mutual assent, capacity, legality, and form.

Students will examine performance, breach, remedies, and third-party rights, as well as specialized rules under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) related to sales, warranties, and risk of loss. The course also addresses modern developments such as e-contracts and internet-based agreements.
