The Computer Networking Certificate is a 15-credit program designed to prepare students for in-demand IT roles and industry certifications including CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate. This certificate builds a strong foundation in computer hardware, networking, server administration, and cybersecurity—skills essential for technical support, systems administration, and network management careers.

You’ll begin with Introduction to IT Technical Support (ITS-101), gaining hands-on experience assembling and troubleshooting PCs, configuring operating systems, and securing endpoints. From there, Introduction to Networking (NET-101) introduces you to network design, routing, wireless technologies, and network security fundamentals.

The program then progresses into Administering Windows Server (NET-202) and Configuring Windows Server (NET-203), where you’ll learn to manage Active Directory, domains, virtualization, and hybrid cloud infrastructures using Windows Server 2022—skills aligned with Microsoft’s AZ-800 and AZ-801 certification exams. Finally, Network Security Fundamentals rounds out your training with advanced coverage of cryptography, access control, and incident response, preparing you for the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) exam.

By the end of the program, you’ll be equipped to build, secure, and maintain networked systems across on-premises and cloud environments—ready to pursue entry-level roles such as Network Technician, Systems Administrator, or IT Support Specialist, or continue toward advanced cybersecurity or server administration pathways.
