As of January 1, 2022, Washington Online Learning Institute is now Washington Technical Institute. The school’s new name better reflects the up-to-date mission of the school: to prepare students for a lifetime of achievement and career success as knowledgeable and well-trained professionals evidenced by above-average outcomes and student outcome satisfaction.

With this transition in name comes transitions in course offerings as well; the leadership at WTI has several new programs in the pipeline and are excited about the school’s new direction. WTI plans to continue offering open enrollment for adults seeking to advance their current job or create pathways for learners ready to start a new career. Open enrollment guarantees that WTI’s online career and tech programs will continue to offer daily or weekly start dates for their self-paced career and technical programs. Because of WTI’s self-paced format, adults can earn a certificate working around their own schedule. With fully online programs that can be completed in just four to eighteen months, the only deadline is the final deadline, so students can work a smaller amount of coursework each day or set aside one or two days each week to dedicate to certificate completion.
