Washington Technical Institute (WTI) is excited to announce the launch of several new programs in 2022. These new certificate programs signify the evolution of Washington Tech, formerly Washington Online Learning Institute. The focus of these programs is to provide new career pathways or supplemental career training that align with WTI’s mission to prepare students for a lifetime of achievement and career success as well-trained professionals. Our goal is to help students acquire the knowledge and career skills that require real-world application and professional insight.
These additional synchronous learning opportunities will enhance the currently offered self-paced programs through WTI. With these new course offerings, students will have an opportunity to connect and collaborate with instructors and each other when they meet for class together. The learning environment will become richer and more diverse, adding to the students’ educational journeys as they learn individually and with their peers.

Full Stack Developer
This program will help those enrolled learn the skills necessary to become a Full Stack Developer, working with both front-facing aspects of web development (websites, forms, etc.) and backend aspects (database management, coding, etc.). It is a technology-rich program that exposes students to current coding languages as well as trends and methodologies in web development.
Web Development
The Web Development program is designed for students who wish to learn about front-facing website development. They will gain a solid understanding of web design, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Database Management
This program is built for those who are looking to expand their knowledge of behind-the-scene workings of database systems and management, SQL, and Python.
Software Development
This program is designed to provide a strong foundation in software development and backend content. Students will learn about the various programs that go into software development from databases, object-oriented programming, and virtual computing. This program will also teach students to build cross-platform applications.
Programming Languages
The Programming Languages course is for professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding of various programming languages. Students will be exposed to JavaScript, Java, C++, Python, and more, gaining a strong understanding of what the various languages can do, when and how to use them, and how to identify trends in programming.
Cyber Security
Data security is at the forefront of IT programs today. This Cyber Security program will help students learn the fundamental aspects of information security and how to manage it on a large scale. Students will learn from materials that will help prepare them to gain additional certifications in network security and as cybersecurity analysts.
Computer Science
The Computer Science certificate program is designed with the worlds continued reliance on computers in mind. Students will learn more about computer science, information systems, operating systems, and virtual computing.
Introduction to Computers
This coursework is ideal for students who want to gain foundational knowledge about computers to either brush up on their skills or prepare for more advanced classes. This single course program is designed to provide the beginner with a solid baseline understanding of computers, devices, and the virtual world.
Health Service Management
Hospitals and clinics are the backbone of the medical field. This program is designed to train those who have a desire to learn more about the operational and management aspects of healthcare by focusing on the day-to-day operations of hospitals and clinics. The Health Service Management coursework is ideal for students who are current medical assistants, medical administrative assistants, nurses, or other clinical staff.
